    As Advanced Graphic Design students, you are expected to provide the visuals/photographs documenting many of the events that occur on campus. Each month Advanced Graphic Design students will take photographs of various 4A's ( Academic, Athletic, Artists, and Activities) on campus.

  Welcome to Advanced Graphic Design:

  • One of your responsibilities will be to takes pictures and document student events and activities throughout the year.  The best photographs will be published on the school website.
  • This week and next week we need students to take pictures at Back to School Night (next Monday) / Bonfire (Friday) / Smudgepot (Saturday) / Rally (Friday). Upload any pictures to August School Photos
  • Over the next Month your will be completing the 19 video lessons to Learning How to Use Illustrator. Download the PDF of each 19 lessons: Illustrator for Beginners PDF (19 Lessons) and watch each video.
  • You also will need to download the large template folder (over 200 mbs)

  Read the review on Graphic Design Principles and define the terms. Complete the Auto Trace tutorial in Illustrator. Work on Your Illustrator Tutorials. Take School / Smudgepot photographs.

• September 3 - September 9

  Continue with the Illustrator Tutorials. Once you finish the tutorials you can start to work on Photoshop or other tutorials that interest you. Do a google search for Photoshop Tutorials and you will be surprised what you can find.

• September 10 - September 16

  Continue with Adobe Illustrator Tutorials or complete your own Photoshop Tutorials.

  Photo Requirements: For the rest of the year, I would like you to take at least one photograph and upload them to an online portfolio (Flickr). Try to take your photos near the beginning of the week since the rest of the class will need the camera near the end of the week.
